During the Autonomous Mission, can teams run additional codes after landing on a pad if they do not handle the drone, or must they return the drone to the starting position before running an additional code? While it is clear what must happen if they touch the drone (AM13), it does not address whether one can simply start another code. Given the built-in flexibility of the RECF rules, I assume that one can simply start another code.
Rule AM9 states that “Team members are allowed to start these instructions using the coding device, but they may not interact with the Drone, controllers, or coding device in any other way, except as specifically allowed in AM13, to end the program early, or to complete an emergency stop.”
Therefore if a Team Member does not interact with the computer (the program continues without human interaction), then the Drone may continue on to complete additional tasks and earn points without resetting the Drone.
If the Team Member interacts with the computer to start a new code or make adjustments, they must reset the Drone to the starting position as stated in AM13.
